Follow your curiosity

And learn something new

It’s a short one from me this week as I have run out of time. Also a heads up that there will be no newsletter next week, as I have to go to Scotland to be with family, so you have two weeks to complete your Nature Notice Board task, which is simply to do some research and learn something new.

Following my curiosity is what led me to start this newsletter. I got curious about one thing and it led me to learn so much more. I’d like to encourage you to do the same.

In the past couple of weeks a few different people have mentioned to me that they don’t feel well enough equipped to have a conversation about a particular subject (whether that be fungi or Isreal/Palestine) because they don’t know enough about it. No matter what the subject is, my advice is the same: do some research. Follow your curiosity, look things up, speak to people who know more than you or who have lived experience, learn… and keep learning.
